You can always count on the Ford Motor Company to keep its vehicle families interesting with each new model year. For 2025, Ford engineers are improving upon the Ford F-150, one of the best-selling pickup trucks in Iowa City and across the United States for more than four decades; plus, the Ford Explorer is getting a mid-cycle redesign with new styling, new colors, and the new Ford Digital Experience. Let's review some of the specs and features you can look forward to seeing in the 2025 Ford F-150 and the Ford Explorer mid-size SUV, which will arrive at Junge Automotive Group soon.
The 2025 Ford F-150 and the Ford F-150 Lightning
The 2025 Ford F-150 and the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning received mostly cosmetic updates, but their capable powertrain options remain unchanged. Both models are equipped with proven high-torque engines that deliver impressive hauling and towing capabilities, but the Lightning is the truck you want for towing loads up to 14,000 pounds. If you are looking for an off-road beast in Marion, ask for the Ford F-150 Tremor model.
The Redesigned 2025 Ford Explorer
If you are among the group of Ford enthusiasts in Cedar Rapids who waited for a major redesign of the Ford Explorer, we can confidently tell you that you will be impressed by its new appearance. The sculpted exterior 2025 Ford Explorer has been refreshed to look bolder, muscular, and slightly futuristic.
The cockpit and cabin have also been remodeled with premium materials and the new Ford Digital Experience, a new infotainment system that replaces the SYNC platform. This new system is powered by the voice-activated Google Automotive Services and is displayed on a high-definition OLED touchscreen. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine generates 300 horsepower, and it can be upgraded to a turbo V6 engine if you choose the Explorer ST model.
