Reviews:
* If you're a longtime devotee of Ram HD trucks and it's time to trade in your old outfit, the improvements made to the 2014 Ram 2500/3500 should rekindle your loyalty to the brand. Conversely, Ford and Chevy owners who long for a more upscale interior will find a lot to like in the Ram HD. Source: KBB.com
* High-quality cabin; massive torque with diesel/automatic powertrain; roomy rear seat in Mega Cab; quiet highway ride. Source: Edmunds
* If you want a heavy-duty truck engineered to give you the power you need and deliver it in a gorgeous package, look no further than the Ram 3500. With its signature rounded curves and huge front grille, this truck is instantly recognizable and respected wherever it goes. All Ram 3500s come standard with a 5.7-liter, HEMI V8 with 383 Horsepower, 850 lb-ft of Torque and a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. Plus, you have the option to choose the available 6.7-Liter Turbo Diesel V6 instead. Ram also gives you other transmission choices as well. On all 3500 sizes and trims you have the option to choose a 6-Speed HD Automatic or a 6-Speed Manual with Overdrive. The exception to this is the Laramie Longhorn Edition and Laramie Longhorn Limited Edition Crew Cabs and Mega Cabs, which do not have the manual as an option. Plus, all Ram 3500s give you the option of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Standard on all trims are Anti-Lock Brakes and Stability Control. As far as your music is concerned, enjoy the flexibility of the Auxiliary Input and USB Port. With Pickups, storage space is always handy. Ram has reserved a very special option, the innovative RamBox Cargo Management System, which is included when you purchase either of the Laramie Longhorn Limited Edition Trims. The interior of the 3500 is a beautiful combination of strength and refinement. The environment has a polished feel even on the base trims. The regular cab can seat 3 on a bench, and the 4-door versions can either seat 5 when there are two-bucket seats up front, or 6 people on 2 rows. For those who love technology, the Laramie Longhorn Edition and Laramie Longhorn Limited Edition Trims have a combination of 3 powerful tools: A GPS Navigation System, Rear Park Assist, and a Rear View Camera. Come drive the 2014 Ram 3500 today and experience it for yourself. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Ram Diesel truck hands down beats Ford and Chevy

I want to start out by listing the different diesel trucks I have owned in the past: 1997 Ford F250 with 7.3 diesel, 2001 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax, 2004 Ford F350 6.0 aka Sick-O, 2012 Ram 2500 Cummins, 2017 Ram 3500 Cummins. Both Ram trucks that I have owned have been the most reliable and have performed perfectly towing. I currently tow a 40' Fifth wheel camper that is 13,500 pounds dry . On another note. Ram backs their product more than Ford. I have never had an issue with Ram like I have with Ford motor company. Prime example: Ford knew of the problems with the 6.0 diesel and strung owners along right up to the end of the warranty then kicked the owners to the curb. At 80,000 miles, I was stuck with a 5 year old truck that was blowing coolant and oil out the exhaust. On the other hand. I had a problem once with the 2012 Ram diesel particulate filter and Ram took care of the $3500 repair even though it was out of warranty by 10,000 miles.
